    The activities of the MEU will be towards the achievement of the earlier mentioned objectives along with conduct of programmes towards faculty development and periodic continuing medical education.     Teachers of medical professionals need to be trained in framing objectives, selecting appropriate teaching\/learning (TL) methods and proper evaluation methodologies. They should also be trained in educational science and technology. To implement these, workshops will be conducted initially at a local level involving new entrants and faculty who have not had training in medical education technology.<\/div>
