The `Hospital Infection Control Committee´ is co-ordinated by the department, with Dr Banaji as its Secretary and Dr Srinivasan as the Infection Control Doctor. Since its inception in 22.11. 2010 it has convened seven meetings, resulting in the formulation of an infection control handbook for in- house use which is in press. Dr Banaji is Officer in-charge of the Central Sterile Supplies Department (CSSD), Dr Malini is a member of the Institute Ethics Committee, and Dr Srinivasan is a member of the Research Committee besides shouldering the responsibilities of the boys hostel as a warden.
