Our students had made a short film for the Pondicherry AIDS Control Society short film competition for AIDS awareness and related stuff and Director Sir also played a small role in this short film. 6. Dr. S.P. Sinhasan written an undergraduate pathology titled. “PATHOLOGY REVIEW” by PARAS publication, Hyderabad.

8. Dr Jayalakshmy R, Assistant Professor, Community Medicine was awarded DNB in Community Medicine in 2011.
9. Dr.K.Shanmuganathan received Dr M M Cooper Memorial Award for teachers for the best paper presented during the 32nd annual conference in the year 2009.

Students Achievements Department of Biochemistry

1. A team of students from IGMC&RI have won the first prize in a quiz competition organized by the Department of Biochemistry, PSG institute of medical sciences, Coimbatore during in March 2014.
2. In collaboration with the department of Anatomy and Physiology, Department of Biochemistry conducted a Quiz competition - “All India Medical Basic Sciences Olympiad organized by ELSEVIER in 2012” – Ms Shanmati ,IInd year MBBS Student has won a prize in this competition.
3. Association of Medical Biochemists of India,Pondicherry Chapter, conducted a Biochemistry Quiz competition for students of Ist MBBS at Sri Venkateshwara Medical college,Pondicherry in March 2012 – Mr Bharanidharan and Mr Vighnesh secured second place in this competition.
